By registering as a legal professional on this Platform, you expressly acknowledge and agree to comply with these Terms governing client interactions, consultations, appointments, and payment processes. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of these legally binding Terms.
VakeelSaab - Vakeel Saab is a technology-driven platform offering end-to-end support services, including helping clients reach lawyers as per their jurisdictional and case genre requirements anonymously, supporting scheduling, billing, document management, and associated platform infrastructure.
The platform supports audio/video consultations, chat, document review, appointments, and payments.
VakeelSaab acts solely as a technology aggregator and does not provide legal services.
All legal advice and professional responsibilities remain solely with the Lawyer.
VakeelSaab neither endorses, supervises, nor assumes any responsibility for the qualifications, competence, conduct, advice, opinions, representations, omissions, or services provided by any legal professional on or through the Platform.
For avoidance of doubt, the term "Lawyer" shall mean:
Upon successful registration on the Platform, each Lawyer will receive a unique Lawyer Identification Code ("LIC") which shall serve as a digital identifier for all activities, interactions, and engagements facilitated through the Platform.
The LIC is intended as a functional tool for case management, billing, and internal tracking, and also as a regulatory safeguard to ensure that all interactions comply with the ethical standards prescribed by the Bar Council of India.
The LIC system is designed to prevent any form of direct or indirect solicitation or advertising by Lawyers through the Platform, in compliance with Rule 36, Chapter II, Part VI of the Bar Council of India Rules.
By registering with the Platform, you acknowledge and agree that you are an independent professional and not an employee, agent, representative, or partner of VakeelSaab. Nothing in the registration process or subsequent interactions shall be construed as creating an employer-employee relationship, partnership, agency, or joint venture. You carry full responsibility for your legal advice and services.
Clients engaging through the Platform are entitled to complete anonymity unless they voluntarily choose to disclose their identity.
Lawyers must not request any personal information, such as name, email address, or contact number from clients during or anytime after the consultation.
Lawyers must not disclose their personal information, including but not limited to their name, phone number, or email address, to clients outside the Platform.
The only information a Lawyer may disclose upon the request of the client is their LIC and designated practice area.
Any requests from clients for personal information must be politely declined, directing them to VakeelSaab.
In the event a Lawyer is uncertain about a legal matter during a consultation, it is their professional responsibility to communicate this to the client clearly.
The Lawyer should respectfully request additional time to research or seek clarification before offering a conclusive opinion. Providing inaccurate or premature advice may negatively impact the Lawyer's standing on the Platform.
Lawyers must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substance at the time of any client interaction. Any such violation will be reported to the relevant professional regulatory authority and will result in the immediate suspension and removal of the Lawyer from the Platform.
Each client introduced to the Lawyer through the Platform shall be entitled to 1 (one) initial consultation call, which shall be for 10 (ten) minutes on a complimentary basis. No fees shall be charged by the Lawyer to the client for this first consultation. Vakeel Saab retains the right to modify the time for this initial consultation.
Following the first consultation, the Lawyer is free to independently determine and charge their own professional fees for all extended consultations, drafting, appearances, and any other legal services.
The number of calls assigned to each Lawyer is dynamic and automated by the algorithm. As an indicator, some of the contingencies built in are, including but not limited to:
Upon completion of a consultation, clients shall receive details of the Lawyer they consulted with, including their LIC and associated profile information.
Clients may use this information to reconnect with the Lawyer via the Platform.
Any unauthorised exchange of personal contact information outside the Platform is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension or termination of access.
The Lawyer shall have the liberty to convert a client, introduced through the Platform, into a full-service client for the purpose of rendering ongoing legal services, provided that such conversion arises organically from the client's own volition and requirement, and is not the result of any form of solicitation by the Lawyer.
The Lawyer expressly agrees and undertakes to act in compliance with the applicable rules and guidelines prescribed by the Bar Council of India, including but not limited to the prohibition on advertising and solicitation.
If, during the consultation, a client expresses an interest in engaging the Lawyer for an in-person meeting, the Lawyer shall direct the client to schedule an appointment exclusively through the Platform.
Lawyers are strictly prohibited from making direct arrangements with clients outside the Platform.
All in-person meetings and case referrals shall be coordinated solely through the Platform.
Clients shall provide the LIC of their preferred Lawyer to initiate the appointment scheduling process.
The Platform shall facilitate the appointment by collecting the necessary details from the client and determining the applicable fees and availability of the Lawyer.
Upon mutual agreement between the client and the Lawyer, the Platform shall confirm the appointment and process the payment accordingly.
The Lawyer shall upload all invoices, documents, drafts, filings, and case-related materials generated in connection with any client matters to the VakeelSaab platform. All case documents, agreements, petitions, and legal filings must be uploaded solely through the app. This process ensures accuracy, transparency, and integrity in record-keeping.
Vakeel Saab shall charge a nominal service fee in consideration for the suite of support services provided to the Lawyer, including but not limited to technology enablement, platform access, practice management tools, operational and administrative support, client coordination assistance, and related facilitation services and Services (defined hereunder), which shall enable the Lawyer to render legal services in an efficient and organized manner.
The Lawyer expressly acknowledges and agrees that such fee constitutes a bona fide consideration solely for the Services rendered by Vakeel Saab and shall not be construed, directly or indirectly, as a referral fee, commission, contingency-based earning, revenue share, or fee-splitting arrangement in respect of legal fees.
The professional engagement shall at all times remain strictly between the Lawyer and the client. Vakeel Saab shall have no role in the provision of legal advice, determination of legal strategy, or the conduct of the matter, and nothing contained herein shall be deemed to create any partnership, joint practice, or association that compromises the independence of the Lawyer.
In consideration of the Services, Vakeel Saab shall raise an invoice for the technological services on the Lawyer contemporaneously with, or immediately following, each of the invoices raised by the Lawyer on the client. The Lawyer agrees to pay such invoices without any requirement for an advance deposit.
The service fee payable to Vakeel Saab in respect of each such client invoice shall be determined based on the extent of the Lawyer’s utilisation of the Services, including but not limited to usage of technology infrastructure, platform features, operational support, and client management tools, that may vary from one engagement to another accordingly.
Vakeel Saab shall, prior to the commencement of engagement, clearly communicate the applicable service fee to the Lawyer. Such service fee shall, in all cases, be subject to a reasonable usage-based ceiling and shall not exceed twenty percent (20%) of the professional fees actually received by the Lawyer in respect of the relevant client invoice, it being clarified that such ceiling is intended solely as a commercial cap on service charges and does not constitute, and shall not be interpreted as, a sharing of legal fees.
It is further clarified that the service fee is directly linked to the value and extent of Services actually utilized by the Lawyer and not to the mere introduction of clients or the outcome of any legal matter. In the event the scope or extent of Services provided by Vakeel Saab exceeds the standard support contemplated herein, any variation in service fee shall be aligned with such enhanced usage and, where materially different, shall be subject to prior specific written understanding between the Parties.
The Service Fee retained by the Platform shall not be construed as a commission, referral fee, or success fee for procuring clients. It reflects compensation for the comprehensive suite of services rendered by the Platform, including without limitation:
(collectively “Services”)
The lawyer expressly acknowledges that the Service Fee is not a commission, referral fee, or success fee for procuring clients or facilitating consultation calls. It is strictly compensation for a comprehensive, technology-driven service infrastructure that the platform independently builds, operates, maintains, and continuously upgrades. We do not charge the lawyer for connecting them with the client or vice-vera.
